About the artist

Tim Squires is a respected Tasmanian artist whose richly detailed natural history illustrations have been warmly received in the scientific and artistic communities alike.

His work has been collected by a wide range of natural history enthusiasts, including collectors of fine drawings and prints, interstate and overseas visitors wanting unique mementos of Tasmania, and molecular geneticists comparing DNA sequences in carnivorous marsupials.

He studied fine art, graphic design and drawing at the Tasmanian School of Art and completed a Master of Fine Arts degree in illustration.

Tim, his wife, Teresa, and their baby daughter, Eva, live close to Hobart in the foothills of Mount Wellington Park.
